Visiting Imam needed @ RHMA

RHMA is looking for a visiting Imam to deliver the Friday Khutba on a rotation basis. Remuneration will be provided.

Requirements:

  • Good Knowledge of Islam and experienced as an imam
  • Must have memorized several Surahs’
  • Proficient in English and Arabic
  • Has a dynamic personality and is a motivational speaker
  • Knowledge of Hadith studies, Seerah, and other Islamic topics to increase knowledge and provide for spiritual growth of community members
  • Ability to teach and work with people of different cultures and backgrounds
  • Demonstrated experience in conflict prevention and resolution
  • Demonstrated experience in Islamic family and youth counseling

Responsibilities:

  • Give the Khutbah and lead prayer for Jumu’ah
  • Choose Friday prayer topics keeping current situation and requirements of Muslim community
  • Lead by example to prevent discrimination on any basis including but not limited to school of thought, gender, race, nationality, ethnic origin, citizenship, political affiliation, or economic status
  • Conduct oneself in a manner that is respectful of the history and diversity of the Muslim community
  • Provide consultation to the Board of Directors on religious matters, community issues, and Mosque activities as requested
